Jesus Blood is on the Mercy Seat

Jesus blood is on the Mercy Seat

Leviticus 16:14He shall take some of the blood of the bull and sprinkle it with his finger on the mercy seat on the east side, and before the mercy seat he shall sprinkle some of the blood with his finger seven times.

If you have watched the movie, Raiders Of The Lost Ark, you would remember that when the lid of the ark was lifted, strange-looking creatures floated out and destroyed the people around it. Interesting as it may be, this is biblically inaccurate—the ark of the Bible did not contain strange-looking creatures. What were the things inside it then?

There were three items in the ark: the golden pot of manna, Aaron’s rod and two stone tablets on which God had written the Ten Commandments (see Hebrews 9:4). These items are actually symbols of man’s rebellion. The golden pot of manna represents man’s rejection of God’s provision. The rod of Aaron represents man’s rejection of God’s leadership and the two stone tablets of God’s commandments represent man’s rejection of His standard of holiness.

But because God delights in mercy, He had these items put away in the ark and covered with the mercy seat, which had two cherubim on it (see Hebrews 9:5). And once a year, the high priest would enter the holy of holies where the ark was and sprinkle the blood of the animal sacrifice on the mercy seat. This means that God’s eyes, represented by the eyes of the cherubim, did not see the symbols of man’s rebellion. As long as the blood was there on the mercy seat, He saw only the blood and accepted the people.

Today, Jesus is our High Priest and He Himself has sprinkled His own blood on the true mercy seat in heaven—the throne of grace (see Hebrews 9:23–26). Interestingly, the number of times that the Old Testament high priest had to sprinkle the blood on the mercy seat—seven—speaks of Jesus’ perfect sacrifice. And because His sacrifice is perfect and He is perfect, we who are in Christ have perfect standing forever before God!

My friend, as you come to God today, don’t worry about falling short of His standard of holiness. He does not see your sins (see Hebrews 8:12, 10:17). He sees His Son’s blood on the mercy seat. You have a perfect standing before Him forever!

About PhotoLemur

All cameras take pictures not as perfect as people see them with their eyes. People’s expectations from photos taken with the camera are always bigger than the result.

Most people want to make their photos better but not everyone can afford expensive gear or wants to spend hours editing photos. And not everyone wants to learn what curves and layers are. That’s why millions of great photos never get shared or even looked at again.

We’ve created an automated photo assistant that enhances your images as a professional photographer, but faster and with no effort required from you. This is the first photo enhancement solution that can actually think for itself.

Check out the awesome pictures below using PhotoLemur software.

PhotoLemur - Girl with Red Flowers

As you can see from the photo of a girl with red flowers above, the colors are more saturated and brilliant on the right side compared to the original photoshoot. The contrast between the red flowers and the green leaves are just awesome. In fact, no words can describe how wonderful it is to use PhotoLemur to create professional looking photos like wedding photos, nature, still life, human portrait, e-commerce products and much more. Below is another one.

PhotoLemur - temple or museum

Again the above temple or Chinese museum is more appealing insight compared to the insipid colors of the left side of the untouched photo. And if you are a coder, this will come in handy to spruce up your clients’ websites with vibrant photos and colors rich in saturation and contrast.

PhotoLemur - peacock

The blue peacock on the right is touched up with PhotoLemur software using Artificial Intelligence which makes the effort all the more worth it to buy this software if you don’t own a Photoshop whereby you have to learn to tweak the various features for that optimum and optimized photo. Talking about peacocks, Deepavali is just around the corner and peacocks play a big part in the designs of kolam – colored beaded rice that makes a breathtaking design on the floor depending on the artist’ creation drawn by pencil on a piece of white cloth.

Home Staging for Success

Inforgraphic - Staged for Success

For the uninitiated, Home Staging is the act of preparing a private residence for sale in the real estate marketplace. The goal of staging is to make a home appealing to the highest number of potential buyers, thereby selling a property more swiftly and for more money.

  • Seventy-seven percent of buyers’ agents said staging a home made it easier for a buyer to visualize the property as a future home.
  • Staging the living room for buyers was found to be most important (55 percent), followed by staging the master bedroom (51 percent), and staging the kitchen (41 percent).
  • Thirty-eight percent of sellers’ agents said they stage all sellers’ homes prior to listing them for sale.
  • The most common rooms that are staged include the living room (83 percent), kitchen (76 percent), master bedroom (69 percent), and the dining room (66 percent).

Home Staging

Home staging includes beautifying the house like adding a small vase of pretty faux flowers in the living room or side tables of all the bedrooms to liven up the ambience. This will attract the cash-rich buyer’s attention and cause him or her to make a purchase on the spot before anyone else gets hold of the unit.

Executive Summary

Profile of Home Staging

Buyers’ Agent Perspective:

  • Forty-nine percent of buyers’ agents cited that homes staging had an effect on most buyer’s view of the home.
  • About one-third of buyer’s agents said that staging a home increased the dollar value offered between one and five percent compared to other similar homes on the market that are not staged.

How Tender is God’s Heart Towards You

How Tender is God's Heart Towards You

that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 2:7

Have you ever blown things out of proportion and gotten angry with God when you were going through a trying time? This happened to Jesus’ disciples when a storm hit them hard. In their fear of drowning, they cried out to Jesus, who was getting some much-needed sleep in the boat, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?” (Mark 4:38).

For accusing Him of not caring, you would think that they received a rebuke from Jesus. But it was the wind which received His rebuke, and a great calm followed (see Mark 4:39). Because of His tenderness toward His own, Jesus did not waste time taking offence. Instead, He wasted no time taking care of the problem that had caused His disciples so much anxiety and fear.

This also happened to two sisters, Martha and Mary, who did not hesitate to let Jesus know how they felt when He finally showed up days after their brother Lazarus had died. Both sisters made the same remark to Him: “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died” (John 11:21,32).

Both sisters had seen Jesus’ miracles of mercy and love. Now, in their grief, they focused on how He could have prevented their brother’s death, but did not. They did not know His heart—how tender it was toward them and how His help would never fail them, but would even extend to raising their dead brother (see John 11:41–44).

Beloved, your heavenly Father sees you trying to stay afloat when you are in the midst of a storm. He sees you trying to provide for yourself and your family, and thinking, “If I don’t take care of these things, no one else will!” And He wants you to know how tender His heart is toward you, how He is not offended by all the bad things you have ever said of or to Him. He wants you to know how much He wants to and will help and bless you. So let go and experience afresh the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward you!

The Life of Jesus is in You

The Life of Jesus is in You

…I [Jesus] have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
John 10:10

Though Jesus is completely God, He was born completely human. He went through temptation after temptation and conquered every one of them (see Hebrews 4:15). And all that overcoming power is found in His life. And He put that life in you—the life of Christ is in you!

During Jesus’ ministry on earth, He conquered sickness, the winds and waves, the powers of darkness and death. It is His life that brings victory over the devil and all his works. And He put that life in you—the life of Christ is in you!

Finally, Jesus went to the cross. And that life in Him put an end to everything that was natural of the Adamic race—sickness, poverty, failures, pains, curses and death. All that was natural ceased to be in that life of His. But all that was supernatural remained in Him. And He put that life in you—the life of Christ is in you!

Then, Jesus rose from the dead. And in that life of His was added the power of resurrection. And He put that life in you—the life of Christ is in you!

After His resurrection, Jesus went back to heaven to His Father. Today, He is seated at the right hand of God, resting in His finished work, occupying a place of the highest authority. And He put that life in you—the life of Christ is in you!

And because Jesus went back to the Father, the Holy Spirit came to indwell you (see John 16:7), so that you will live life with His anointing in you and walk in His overcoming power.

All that Jesus is, God meant for you to be. All that He has, God meant for you to have. All the exciting things that you read in the Bible about Jesus, all the treasures of Him hidden in the Old Testament and the unsearchable riches in Him that you find in the New Testament, all of that life of His, is not out there somewhere. God has deposited all of it in you, so that you can live the abundant life that Jesus came to give you!

Pomeranian Puppy with Plush Toys as Friends

A post shared by David Kuhn (@davidkuhn_ny) on

Isn’t the above picture from my Instagram of a Pomeranian puppy of white and golden colours cute? It is accompanied by its toy friends that resemble it. I love Pomeranians and will only showcase this breed here on my blog as I own one golden Pomeranian pup by the name of Leia. Initially, I named it ‘Princess’, but the second sis says ‘Leia’ sounds better and it is just a mere 1 syllable to pronounce. Leia is more matured now and trained by my spouse. He’s the real master, feeding it and clearing its poo. He also cuts Leia’s long nails and sometimes she will yelp loudly when the nerves are cut as well. As for me, I have the easy job of feeding it its vitamins from a tube and let it lick my finger. Before that, I will tell Leia to sit down and ‘shake hand’ or ‘paw’. Leia is now 1 year and 6 months. She was born on 20th April 2017 and had been given 3 jabs to prevent rabies, etc. as a puppy.

When her period comes, she will be spayed to prevent moody barkings and pain or whatever that comes with the monthly menses, such as tummy cramps and mood swings. I used to have 4 rabbits, 2 red-eyed Holland Lop white rabbits and 2 black-eyed golden Angora mixed with Holland Lop rabbits. The names were Snow, Snowy, Brown and Brownie. Well, they were high maintenance, hence, we returned to the seller without taking back our money. Besides, the condo is not that big enough for them to flourish as they need a big garden to hop around and move freely instead of being barricaded.

Jesus is your Qualification for God’s Blessings

Jesus is your qualification for God's blessings

And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you…
Deuteronomy 28:2

God loves to bless you. He has even declared that “blessings shall come upon you and overtake you.” This means that you can’t run fast enough to escape them! When you turn one corner, there is a blessing waiting for you. When you turn another corner, you run smack into another blessing!

Now, you may think that you don’t qualify for God’s blessings because of the preceding verse which says that these blessings will come to pass only if you diligently obey God’s voice and keep all of His commandments. You know that no matter how hard you try, you just cannot keep all of God’s commandments. In fact, the Bible says that if you fail to keep just one commandment, you fail to keep all (see James 2:10).

My friend, I have good news for you: Jesus is the one who qualifies us for every single blessing because He has kept all of God’s commandments. When He died for us on the cross, He not only fulfilled all of God’s commandments, He also redeemed us from the curse of the law (see Galatians 3:13). Note that He did not redeem us from the blessings of the law, so the blessings are still ours today!

As you read the list of blessings in Deuteronomy 28, starting with “Blessed shall you be in the city…in the country…the fruit of your body…your basket…when you come in…when you go out…” (Deuteronomy 28:3–13), I believe that Jesus is saying to you, “Like the blessings? Then take them by faith!”

You may say, “But I don’t deserve them.” Yes, you don’t deserve them, but you still get them because of Jesus. That is God’s grace! The law says, “You must deserve the blessings.” But the law is no longer here. Grace is here. So take the blessings by grace through faith. Believe God for the blessings.

Today, it is no longer a question of how much or how well you have kept God’s commandments. It is a question of how much you can believe God for His blessings. All the promises of God in Christ are “Yes,” and because you are in Christ, you can say “Amen!” to His blessings (see 2 Corinthians 1:20)!
