God is a Giver, not a Taker

God is a Giver, not a Taker

He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?
Romans 8:32

GOD IS A GIVER, NOT A TAKER

Some Christians mistakenly believe that God gives and also takes away. At funerals, we sometimes hear the minister say, “The Lord giveth, and the Lord taketh. Blessed be the name of the Lord.”

I remember an occasion when I was looking at a baby who was suffering from cancer. I heard one of his family members comment, “You can’t be sure what God’s will is. He may or may not heal.” What that person meant was that although the Lord had given the parents this baby, He might later take the baby away from them.

Job displayed this very same attitude when he received the news that he had lost his property and children. Thinking that God was the source of his problems and not knowing that it was actually Satan who had come against him, he said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return there. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.” (Job 1:21) Such a statement seems to honor God, but in reality, it reveals an erroneous view of our heavenly Father.

As children of God, we know what the Father’s will is for us. He is a giver, not a taker! Jesus said, “Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” (Luke 12:32) It is the devil who is the thief. He comes to steal, kill and destroy. But Jesus came to give us life more abundant. (John 10:10)

Jesus met every need and healed every sickness brought before Him, and at the cross, He gave His own life. Never once did He take anything away from the people who came to Him. And the Bible says that whoever has seen Jesus has seen the Father. (John 14:9)

Beloved, your heavenly Father wants you to know today that He is the one who gives you all good things. And if He has already given us heaven’s best—Jesus, “how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things”?

Just a Groan will Reach God’s Throne

Just a Groan will Reach God's Throne

Likewise, the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Romans 8:26

JUST A GROAN WILL REACH GOD’S THRONE

Once, when my father was hospitalized, I remember driving as fast as I could to the hospital to see him because his condition was deteriorating rapidly. I was just sobbing in my car on the way there. I didn’t know what to pray. So I just cried and prayed in tongues, groaning in my spirit.

I believe that at that very low point, the Holy Spirit was helping me in my weaknesses—“For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered”.

The events that soon unfolded in the hospital convinced me that just a groan or sigh will reach the throne of our Abba Father.

I managed to reach the hospital just in time to clasp my father’s hand before he was wheeled in for surgery. The surgeons came out of the operating theatre sometime later to inform my mother that they didn’t need to do anything after they had opened him up because they discovered that “surgery” had already been done on him!

Surprised, my mother answered, “He has never been operated on. I am his wife. I should know.” Not convinced, the surgeons told my father when he regained consciousness, “We opened you up and found that surgery had already been done. Whoever did it did a perfect work.”

Equally surprised, my dad told them, “I have never had surgery done on me.”

“No, you have!” the surgeons insisted.

As my parents and the doctors continued arguing, I found myself thinking, “My goodness, I didn’t even pray for a miracle on my way to the hospital. Yet, a miracle has just happened!”

My friend, when we who are God’s children groan as we pray in the Spirit, the Holy Spirit makes intercession for us with groanings which will reach the throne of our Abba Father, and cause Him to move powerfully on our behalf!

Set your Love upon Jesus

Set your love upon Jesus

“Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
Psalm 91:14

SET YOUR LOVE UPON JESUS

Jesus was in a house in Bethany when a woman came to Him with an alabaster flask containing very costly fragrant oil. She poured the oil on His head. (Matthew 26:6–7) This woman loved the Lord. She had set her love upon Him.

But those who were present considered what she did a great waste because the oil could have been sold for an amount equal to one year’s wages, and the money given to the poor instead. Even Jesus’ disciples were indignant and asked her, “Why this waste?” (Matthew 26:8)

But Jesus defended her, saying, “Why do you trouble the woman? For she has done a good work for Me.” (Matthew 26:10) Not only that, He accorded her the highest honor when He added, “Assuredly, I say to you, wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be told as a memorial to her.” (Matthew 26:13)

Two thousand years have passed since this woman anointed Jesus with the expensive oil. She never expected in her wildest dreams that her act of love would be told down through the ages. Many kings and rulers have come and gone. Their great acts have faded from the memories of men. But what this woman did for Jesus is still told today around the world as a memorial to her!

When you get a revelation of how much Jesus loves you, you will set your love upon Him. And when you act out of love for Him, though others may see it as a waste of time, energy or money, He will defend you and deliver you from your critics. He will also set you on high. Your ministry will become powerful and life-changing. Your work will be highly esteemed among your peers. Your company will be prominent and highly successful. And it will not just be a job that you have, but a position of influence to impact many lives.

So set your love upon Jesus. Make Him the love of your life today, and He will defend, deliver and set you on high!

Thanking God at All Times

Thanking God at all times

Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.
Hebrews 13:15

THANKING GOD AT ALL TIMES

Lifting up your hands and thanking God is spontaneous and easy when you have just received a wonderful blessing: “God, I can’t thank You enough for this miracle!”

“Thank You Father, for answering my prayer!”

“Father, thank You for the windfall!”

Perhaps you came close to being in a fatal accident, but God plucked you out of danger just in time. Or your grandmother, an unbeliever for many years, finally received Jesus as her Savior and got healed of a long-term disease.

But there are times when you don’t feel like lifting up your hands to thank and praise God, yet you do it. Perhaps you feel very discouraged lately. Perhaps everything is going wrong for you and you feel like your life is in a mess. You can’t hold back the tears. Yet, you make a conscious decision to lift your hands and thank God for being in the situation with you. You open your mouth and begin to praise Him even though you really don’t feel like doing it.

In the midst of the trial that you are going through, you praise Him that He is your righteousness in spite of all the mistakes you have made. You thank Him that He is your Prince of Peace and that His peace will arise in you and still the storms in your life.

My friend, God sees and appreciates such times when, despite feeling so discouraged, you offer a freewill thanksgiving offering to Him. In fact, your thanksgiving during such times is more highly prized by Him than your thanksgiving during those times when you are feeling joyful because you have just been blessed.

And when you choose to thank Him for His unfailing love, and His faithfulness to deliver, protect and provide for you even when you don’t see the blessings yet, before long, you will find yourself experiencing and enjoying the blessings! So lift your hands and praise the Lord, for He is good, and His mercy endures forever! (Psalm 106:1)

Review on https://www.beaconcom.sg/

I was surfing the website for some work when I came across https://www.beaconcom.sg/ which is a Singapore website that does inbound sales, lead nurturing, lead generation and lead conversion. According to its website, inbound sales are as the following:

The ABCs Of Inbound Sales

How exactly does “Inbound Sales” work? Let’s start with the ABCs – Attract, Build and Close.

Attract Visitors – Learn Lead Generation
This step is all about getting visitors to your site. Adding new leads to your sales funnel.

Build Leads – Learn Lead Conversion
Now that you have quality traffic, you need to manage them properly. Converting visitors into customers. and more.

Close Sales – Learn Lead Nurturing
Not every lead immediately turns to a sale. For this, an effective lead nurturing plan is crucial. It’s about building relationship.

With so many e-commerce sites using WooCommerce, Shopify, Easystore by Exabytes which is much cheaper, free platforms like Open Cart, etc, many would-be entrepreneurs jump onto the bandwagon without knowing what is in store for them and the huge amount of time and sacrifice it takes to build a store slowly and gradually like blogging about it, Facebook marketing which is now double its price, etc.

But with https://www.beaconcom.sg/, where you can click on the link above or copy and paste the URL into your browser, you will find that marketing and advertisement are already done for you, leaving you with more time to do the important things in your life. Hence, you cannot discount the factors of ABC of Inbound Sales and Marketing. The SEO or Search Engine Optimisation is already prepared by the professionals and all you have to do is to give this site a visit and perhaps try out their services as promised. Just my 2 cents.

The Greatest Speech Ever by Oprah Winfrey

Just watch this YouTube video by the first black self-made woman billionaire, Oprah Winfrey. It is rather lengthy, but worth the nuggets of wisdom imparted. Most of us feel demoralized by the daily grind of chores of family life and also career-wise. Sometimes we are so bogged down by toxic people that we should avoid at all costs. They could be in our circle of friends, relative and family. They don’t want to see us succeed and say or do things that hurt us to boost up their inflated egos.

That is probably why the famous food critic, Anthony Bourdain and well-known designer, Kate Spade, committed suicide within 3 days apart. These two people are successful, established household names, yet they took their own lives. The Bible states that “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” – Luke 4:4. Luke was a doctor or only physician mentioned in the scripture. You can just Google this up for the various versions on different bibles.

Anyway, I am a little busy with work and some issues cropped for the company. So, I have to do my part and contribute in whatever way I can. A little about Oprah from Wiki here:

Oprah Winfrey (born Orpah Gail Winfrey; January 29, 1954) is an American media proprietor, talk show host, actress, producer, and philanthropist. She is best known for her talk show The Oprah Winfrey Show, which was the highest-rated television program of its kind in history and was nationally syndicated from 1986 to 2011 in Chicago, Illinois. Dubbed the “Queen of All Media”, she was the richest African American of the 20th century and North America’s first multi-billionaire black person, and has been ranked the greatest black philanthropist in American history. Several assessments rank her as the most influential woman in the world.

10 Habits of Self-Made Millionaires

These are the 10 nuggets of gold – Habits of Self-Made Millionaires. Statistics show that these are the common straits of such people, regardless of whether they are born rich or poor. What sets millionaires apart from the average people? Were they born into the right family? Did they strike the lottery? Research shows that they have these traits in common.

1) Thinking in Abundance

There is no shortage of money on this planet, only a shortage of people who think correctly. As you are reading this, there is $2.3 TRILLION dollars circulating around the globe everyday, and that amount is destined to grow throughout time!

2) Surround Yourself with Like-Minded Individuals

You are the sum of 5 people you spend the most of your time with. As the risk of being portrayed as arrogant, rich and successful people value their network of friends, because rich people build rich networks!

3) Shift Focus from Spending Money to Making Money

Instead of becoming a consumer, become a producer. Instead of buying more, sell more. Instead of attending seminars, host seminars. Instead of buying books, sell books. You get the idea. Not that there is anything wrong with consuming, it is simply that rich people produce more than they consume.

4) No TV

Did you know why you don’t see ads on Lamborghini on TV? It is because the people who can afford them don’t waste time sitting on the couch!

5) Multiple Streams of Income

The rich people have multiple streams of income and don’t just depend on one. Income streams could be from property rentals, investment in stocks, royalties from book authoring, full time jobs, side hustling, hosting webinars, etc.

6) Be Generous

The truly rich people think about serving others and giving back to the community. The currency of real networking is not greed but generosity.

7) Have an Exit Strategy

Everytime you hear someone become a success overnight, it is backed by effort and turmoil. Ultimately, all the multi-millionaires and billionaires get their break when they sell their business away – which is actually the ultimate exit strategy. Whatsapp was started in 2009 and sold for $19 BILLION in 2014!

8) Get into Properties

This is the most time tested vehicle to creating and protecting your wealth since centuries ago. If you really don’t know what to do with the excess of your money, you cannot go wrong putting them in properties.

9) Leaders are Readers

For the rich and successful, learning never stops even after graduation.

10) Always be Hustling

All the tips, tricks and trade secrets won’t amount to anything if you just sit around and do nothing. As you see, successful people are not necessarily smarter or more talented. They simply hustle or work more even when the going gets tough.
