For most people, a JOB is “Just Over Broke”. Yes, the company pays you just enough so that you don’t leave for greener pastures and make you work the most. Almost all companies pay you the least and make you slough hard for their salary. Currently I love what I am doing, mostly admin work with some website updates and Excel formula to add for automatic calculations of commissions and expenses. It is a win-win opportunity for both parties and I get to work in a home office, right in the comfort of home. Hence, I can take power naps in between work and rest when I am tired.

I came back from KL last night and it was very hazy. The haze level was above 100 and this is considered unhealthy due to open burning in several spots. 31 schools were closed in the Klang Valley area yesterday. Well, I just stayed overnight there, collected a cheque and then headed back home to Penang as soon as possible. I also bought a cheap mask for $1.50 each and wore it on the way back to Penang from KL to Tapah. Farmers are openly defying the authorities by burning the forests in Cameron Highlands for future farming and this contributes to more pollution and haze. As of now, I shall just stay indoors, read the news and check out on what’s happening to MH 370 which mysteriously disappeared without any distress signals.

I am pleased that there are several opportunities to make money online, albeit a little low. The tasks come now and then and you have to work hard. There is no free lunch on this planet earth, unless you are married to a millionaire! Or born with a silver spoon in your mouth, of which most of us are Not! Hence, with education and some hard work, we can make it by acquiring relevant knowledge and skills to arm ourselves with more opportunities online like writing gigs, blogging, image editing and more. We also have to keep our blogs fresh with new content to leverage on earning an income and make the internet our cash cow.

After my recent trip to Europe, I shall be going to Hatyai by bus during Chinese New Year with mum and youngest sis. We shall be staying for 3 days and 2 nights, departing at 5:30am in the morning when the chartered van comes to pick us up from our house. I plan to get some cosmetics and maybe some bras. As usual, we don’t miss our foot massage at a place near the hotel. I hope and pray that Hatyai will be safe from the chaos in Bangkok to overthrow the government of Ying Luck. Chinese New Year is a time I stay with my family at their house since my spouse will be away for a couple of days. I just hope he gets back soon and continue the normal routine as always.

Tonight, the plane will depart to KLIA from Penang at 9:45pm before the long haul direct flight to Heathrow Airport in London, arriving tomorrow morning. I will spend about 11 hours on board the flight and spend Christmas during winter in Vatican City, Rome, Italy. I have sponsored my 2 younger sisters for this long-awaited trip to Europe since 2007. I shall be visiting 7 countries – United Kingdom, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Austria, Italy and France.

Just pray that my big luggage with food and clothing will arrive safely and not pilfered at the airport by coveting staff. Also pray that I will eventually return to Penang safely with all my items intact. This trip easily costs me $20k for the 3 of us, not including extra expenses for food and tips, souvenirs, etc.

I just came back from Kuala Lumpur last night after spending 2 days there for business. For the record, I just paid the first installment to Trafford for my book to be published sometime between January and February next year where I will be given 10 complimentary copies. Trafford is a print on demand service and they don’t print your books to be stocked up in bookshelves of the stores. My book will be listed on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. Today is a weekend, I would love to slumber for long hours under my pure silk duvet. Life is good and abundant for everyone. Too tired to go to Langkawi, so we decided to skip this trip and stay at home lazing around.

I just came back from lunch outside and had extra soup for take-away. Now it is back to work again in a home office. Today, I got paid into my Paypal for USD 25 for some blogging work done 2 days ago. This is quite a lucrative venture for me, by comparison. I have spent lots of time updating this blog which has been ignored for a long time and am now trying to revive it with more blog posts.
