Vote for Ramkarpal this Sunday

I was supposed to go to KL tomorrrow, but it has been postponed to Monday, setting out at the wee hours of 5:00am in the morning since we have a interview at 11:00am. The reason we postponed is so that I can vote for my constituency for Ramkarpal, the third bachelor son of The Tiger of Jelutong, Karpal Singh who had recently departed for a better place. His whole family are lawyers and I hope to give a strong mandate to his son, his legacy of fighting for justice, freedom and corruption in high places. His son needs our vote and every vote counts. This is the least I can do for Karpal Singh, since he has done much for the nation.

Just Came Back from Kota Kinabalu

I was in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah end of last month for overnight stay there and traveled by Air Asia from Penang direct to the destination. There was an outstanding balance payment that can only be resolved on our visit there to discuss further. Our associates were unable to decide further on our behalf, hence we had to be there ourselves to see the court condition. Stayed at Celyn City Mall Hotel for RM 170 per night for a deluxe room with branded shopping outlets and restaurants within walking distance and next to the hotel. It was convenient to get our water and food. The buffet breakfast comes with nasi lemak, fried mee hoon, fruits, cereals, coffee or tea. The trip was good.

Celebrated Dad’s Birthday

Today, we celebrated my dad’s birthday at Cititel Hotel along Penang Road in advance since my youngest sister works and comes back from office around 9:30pm or even 10:30pm almost every day in her new job. She has to turn around a project worth 2 million dollars that was delayed for 6 months! Her team seems to have the lackadaisical attitude which explains the long delay while my youngest sister has to prove herself in the new job. She is a tough girl and her no-nonsense character makes her a valuable asset in the company. My dad is 77 years of age come this Tuesday on 29th April 2014. He is still relatively healthy except for some illness like peri-neuropathy and heart disease with eczema of the skin as he ages.

Just Came Back from Butterworth

I went for physiotherapy this afternoon at 12 noon at First Adventist Hospital for 1 hour and then had lunch there. Then came back for some work before headed to Butterworth for a meeting with a bumiputera developer and contractor. The office is quite nice, with laser jet printer in colour. There are 2 directors there who helm the company and they have just come back from attending an exhibition in Canton, China. Now Malay contractors are smart; they are willing to do business in China which is no longer viewed as poor unlike decades ago. After negotiating for some discount, I think we have a good chance to do business here.

Doing the Correct Business Prospers You

My colleague was in the steel factory and hotel business which failed and the turnover, even more than $100,000 was not sufficient to pay all the workers’ salaries and in the end had to wind down with bankruptcy charges against some of the directors, as they took out huge loans for the 14 storey high hotel in Kota Tinggi, Malaysia.

Now, one of those directors is in the right business and the revenue is much more than the hotel, considering that the workforce is much smaller and leaner. It is so prosperous that this particular director is tithing to church weekly and giving out lots regularly to his family. Hence, doing the right business can prosper you, better than working for others for just measly pay.

Lots of Articles to Write

I have started work on a freelancing basis writing articles for a client, who pays every 15 days – not too bad compared to some who pays 45 days net or even 60 days! This will surely keep me busy all day long, thinking how to write unique articles that make sense. You have to think fast and type fast at the same time in order to love this type of work; otherwise it would be a drudgery considering the very low pay and lots of typing.

I have stopped writing articles for a long time and just started again 2 days ago as there are fewer juicy posts to write, unlike in the past. Since I work from a home office, this suits me perfectly.

Only Business will Prosper You

Only doing successful business will prosper you. You will not get rich working for other people, other than taking a big leap of faith and jump into the world of doing business yourself – be it in the food business, construction, retail, etc. You can make big bucks from the many customers to patronize your stall and make hundreds per day, more than you could ever dream. By working for others, you only prosper your boss while you earn a meager salary each month – just enough to pay the bills and make sure that you don’t leave for greener pastures elsewhere.

Let’s face it: your boss will pay you as little as possible while making you do as much as possible to make maximum profits. You are paid enough so that you will not leave and keep working like an ant, toiling day and night.

Just Came Back from KL

I just came back from KL last night, having reached home around 2:00am in the morning. We started out at 9:00pm right after a late dinner due to work and printing of enquiries in the Subang apartment. Had a busy time in KL, traveling to 4 different places using our GPS installed in our smartphones to look for directions. We attended 2 interviews and hopefully, will get the projects in due time. I bought 2 bars of Cadbury chocolates and promptly put them in my hand bag for emergencies like lots of work and site visit and to kill off the hunger pangs during lunch hour. My colleague is just too committed to his work that lunch takes secondary place. He can afford to skip lunch to work, but not me.
