Dogs are Man’s Best Friend


The domestic dog is a wolf’s descendant. The dog is descended from an extinct ancient wolf, and the contemporary grey wolf is its closest living relative. Prior to the creation of agriculture, the dog was the first species to be domesticated by hunter–gatherers over 15,000 years ago. Dogs have evolved to be specifically adapted to human behavior as a result of their long relationship with humans, resulting in a wide number of breeds.
