Synopsis:
Eleanor Thomas’s success as a Washington DC juvenile court judge is challenged when her inner-city past comes to court. It demands more than judgment, prompting her to return to her impoverished youth neighborhood. Will her renewed sense of purpose reinvigorate her faith?

- Drayvon is caught chatting with local gang members, revealing that Jewels struggles to pay her bills. Reggie steps in and gives the kid money, and confronts the gangsters.
- Introduced to Star, a young girl currently serving a stint in juvenile detention who is diagnosed with anxiety and defiance disorder. Her family cannot afford the medication.
- Jewels confront Reggie about the money he gives her son.
- Eleanor tries to get Isaac to go to the doctor but continues refusing.
- Eleanor goes to his doctor and discovers Isaac has cancer and is refusing treatment.
- Reggie was arrested for stealing while being scouted to play college football – he lost the opportunity because of his criminal record.
- Reggie’s son, Apollo, refuses to see or hear from his dad as he pursues his dreams of coaching college football.
- Eleanor connects with Apollo and invites him home for Thanksgiving.
- Eleanor and Isaac argue over her intruding on his health and trying to reconnect Apollo and Reggie. Eleanor storms out but returns to apologize in the middle of the night.
- Jewels’ abusive boyfriend returns to the apartment, and their confrontation turns violent.
- An ambulance arrives and removes a body from the neighboring apartment complex and Drayvon is found wandering alone.
