Gabriel – The Messenger of God Gabriel is entrusted with delivering God’s most important messages, especially concerning the coming of the Messiah. Daniel 8:16 – Gabriel explains the vision to Daniel. Luke 1:19 – Gabriel introduces himself to Zechariah as one who stands in God’s presence. Luke 1:26–28 – He announces to Mary that she will bear Jesus, the Son of God. 3.
