My Review:

“Christmas at the Cabin” brings a heartwarming dose of festive cheer to the big screen, just in time for the holiday season. Set against a breathtaking winter landscape of snow-covered pines and a cozy log cabin, the film tells the story of Michelle and Josh, a couple seeking a peaceful, unplugged Christmas getaway. Their plans for quiet reflection, however, take a delightful turn when unexpected guests—and an untimely blizzard—transform their retreat into a memorable celebration of love, laughter, and faith.

Directed by Tori Hunter, the movie captures the essence of a classic holiday story: the tension between perfection and authenticity. Marianne Haaland, who also wrote the screenplay, shines as Michelle, portraying her as strong yet vulnerable, while Corey Cannon’s Josh brings warmth and humor. Sharon Oliphant delivers comic energy as Poppy, the spirited sister who believes chaos is just another word for Christmas fun. Todd Terry adds depth as Luke, a rugged friend whose wisdom and faith help ground the story. Together, the ensemble creates a believable sense of family and friendship that feels genuine and unforced.

The film’s greatest strength lies in its balance of humor and heart. The snowstorm becomes more than just a plot device—it serves as a metaphor for the unexpected challenges that bring people closer together. Amid the laughter, small moments of reflection remind viewers of the real reason for the season: compassion, forgiveness, and togetherness. The script avoids heavy-handed preaching, instead weaving faith naturally into everyday moments—like sharing a prayer before dinner or offering forgiveness where it’s hardest.

Visually, “Christmas at the Cabin” is a treat. The warm candlelit interiors, the shimmer of snowflakes, and the soft glow of Christmas lights make every frame feel like a greeting card come to life. The soundtrack blends traditional carols with gentle instrumental themes that enhance the story’s emotional resonance without overwhelming it.

Ultimately, “Christmas at the Cabin” doesn’t try to reinvent the holiday genre—it embraces it wholeheartedly. It’s a wholesome, feel-good film that reminds us that sometimes the best gifts aren’t wrapped under a tree but found in moments shared with the ones we love. If you’re looking for a movie to lift your spirits and rekindle the warmth of Christmas, this is one worth seeing when it hits theaters on November 14.

Trailer launch of a fun new holiday movie, CHRISTMAS AT THE CABIN!

Christmas at the Cabin

About Christmas at the Cabin

“Christmas at the Cabin” is the ultimate feel-good family Christmas movie of the season! Starring Todd Terry, Marianne Haaland, Corey Cannon, Sharon Oliphant, and Stacey Sheffield, “Christmas at the Cabin” delivers a touch of chaos and laughter, plenty of heart, and one truly unforgettable Christmas. Beautiful scenery blends with original music and beloved holiday classics, making this a perfect film for the entire family. Make your plans to watch this Christmas and visit christmasatthecabinmovie.com to learn more.

CHRISTMAS AT THE CABIN is releasing in theaters this Christmas.

I can hardly contain my excitement for Christmas at the Cabin, coming this Christmas season! The very idea of a cozy cabin, snow falling gently outside, and a heartwarming holiday story unfolding inside feels like the perfect remedy to the hustle and bustle of year-end.

From what I’ve seen, Christmas at the Cabin is a faith-friendly film that’s being promoted on platforms like FaithChannel, with the tagline “coming to theaters fall 2025.” It promises something both comforting and hopeful — just what I want during the holiday rush.

Every year I look forward to Christmas films: the ones that wrap you in warmth, remind you of simpler joys, and leave you with a sense of peace. Christmas at the Cabin seems tailor-made for exactly that. Will there be snow-covered pines? Flickering candles inside? A small community or a family rediscovering what matters most? I’m envisioning it already.

What also gets me eagerly anticipating the film is thinking about how I’ll experience it. I imagine getting a hot drink, curling up under a blanket, turning off the rest of the world for a couple of hours, and letting myself be fully immersed in that holiday magic. I want to see characters I can cheer on, emotional arcs that bring a tear or two, and a soundtrack that makes me hum on my way home.

There’s also that thrill of the unknown. What kind of conflict or crisis will bring the characters together? Will it lean more spiritual, or more romantic, or somewhere beautifully in between? Every promotional still or teaser I glimpse now will feel like a little gift along the way.

And when Christmas finally arrives and the film is released, I already know I’ll have a little tradition: maybe watching it on opening weekend, or making it part of my “Christmas movie marathon.” I might even invite a few friends or family over so we can experience it together. That shared “aww” moment when something touching happens — that’s part of what makes holiday films special.

So yes, with each passing day I’m counting down. Christmas at the Cabin, I’m ready for you. Bring on the soft snow, the glowing lights, the heartfelt moments—and yes, all the cozy feels.

Please note: This is a family movie, but not necessarily faith-based, and there are minor sexual innuendos.

About GROW

Welcome to the pumpkin capital of the world, where the pumpkins are epic, the rivalries are fierce, and the competition is anything but garden variety. Dinah Little, a no-nonsense farmer with a tough-as-a-pumpkin exterior, reluctantly takes in her abandoned niece, Charlie. Dinah is not quick to affection, and Charlie is not one for sitting still. So she throws her into farm life, sleeves rolled up and hands in the dirt.

Then comes the town’s biggest spectacle, the annual pumpkin-growing contest, a Halloween season tradition that brings out wild stunts, eccentric characters, and record-setting drama. But Charlie has something no one else does, a special knack for connecting with plants that quietly reflects her own longing to feel just as seen and loved.

But as both pumpkin and plot thicken, and rival growers pull every trick in the book, will Charlie and Dinah’s unlikely entry stand tall against the fiercest competition the town has ever seen?

As her pumpkin grows bigger, so does her bond with her aunt Dinah. Together they discover that the real prize is not measured in pounds, but in joy, laughter, and family. What begins as a seed blossoms into an exuberant and hilarious story of crazed competition, found family, and love that grows as boundless as the pumpkins themselves.

GROW is releasing in theaters only starting October 3.

Light of the World 2-D Movie – In Theaters September 5

Get ready for a heartfelt cinematic treat this September—Light of the World, a beautifully hand-drawn 2D animated feature, opens in theaters on September 5, 2025—and trust me, you’ll want to be there.

A Fresh Take on a Timeless Story

Light of the World is a spiritually rich animation that revisits the life of Jesus through the eyes of a young Apostle John in AD 30. It follows John’s expectations of a Messiah to save his family from oppression, but instead, he’s swept into a journey of faith, friendship, and self-discovery—told with the warmth and whimsy of classic 1990s Disney-style storytelling.

The film is co-directed by Tom Bancroft and John J. Schafer, with animation direction from Tony Bancroft—Disney veterans who’ve worked on beloved classics such as Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and The Lion King.

Why It’s Special

  • Beautifully Crafted Animation
Every scene is hand-drawn, capturing the little imperfections that breathe life into classic animation. It’s a thoughtful artistic choice, reminding us of the only perfect person to walk the earth—Jesus.

  • Narrative with Heart
While not positioned as the central character, Jesus’s presence shapes the story in profound ways. By focusing on young John, the film provides a relatable, coming-of-age perspective that resonates with families and young viewers alike.

  • Spiritual Depth with Emotional Impact
The movie balances lighthearted humor—like a memorable comic relief moment—with deep emotional weight surrounding the crucifixion and resurrection. These arcs encourage meaningful faith-based conversations long after the credits roll.

  • A New Evangelistic Tool
Beyond entertainment, the film is designed as a ministry resource. It comes with tie-in materials for families and churches, including curriculum and engaging activities to reinforce its themes.

  • Global Reach
While debuting first in the United States and Canada on September 5, international audiences can also look forward to the release across more than 25 countries in multiple languages.

Final Thoughts

Light of the World feels like a breath of fresh hope—a nostalgic nod to animation’s golden era, retelling the Gospel with sincerity, beauty, and creative authenticity. It’s a perfect pick for family movie nights, church groups, or anyone longing for an inspiring animated journey.

Mark your calendars for Friday, September 5, 2025. Whether you’re seeking a touching faith-based film, a spiritual conversation-starter, or just a visually stunning animated experience, Light of the World promises to leave you moved and inspired.
