In the midst of life’s hustle and bustle, Sundays offer us a precious opportunity to pause, reflect, and embrace the blessings that surround us. As the sun rises on this sacred day, we are reminded of the profound wisdom found in Psalm 46:10, “Be still and know that I am God.”

In a world filled with noise and distractions, these words serve as a gentle yet powerful reminder to find moments of stillness amidst the chaos. It’s in these quiet moments that we can truly connect with our inner selves and with the divine presence that surrounds us.

Sunday Blessings invite us to slow down, to appreciate the beauty of nature, to cherish the love of family and friends, and to nurture our spiritual well-being. Whether it’s through prayer, meditation, or simply taking a peaceful walk in nature, let us embrace the tranquility of this day and open our hearts to the abundance of blessings that flow into our lives.

So, as we embark on this Sunday journey, let us be still, let us be present, and let us be grateful for the opportunity to experience the love and grace of God in every moment.

Embracing Second Chances: Good Morning and a New Day.

Life is a journey filled with ups and downs, successes, and failures. It’s a constant cycle of learning and growing, and one of the most beautiful aspects of life is the gift of a fresh start each day. No matter what happened yesterday, today offers us a chance to try again, to chase our dreams, and to make the most of every moment. Good morning!

Yesterday may have been challenging; perhaps you faced setbacks, made mistakes, or encountered obstacles that seemed insurmountable. But as the sun rises on a new day, it brings with it endless opportunities for redemption, growth, and success.

The past is a valuable teacher, not a prison. Every failure is a stepping stone toward your goals. Use it to learn, adapt, and become better. Today is your canvas, and you hold the brush. Paint your day with positivity, determination, and resilience.

The simple act of saying “good morning” carries a world of meaning. It’s a reminder that life is a journey, not a destination, and that we have the power to shape our own narratives. Embrace each morning as a chance to be the best version of yourself, to pursue your passions, and to spread kindness to those around you.

So, as you sip your morning coffee and take in the beauty of a new day, remember that even if you stumbled yesterday, today is your opportunity to rise and shine. Seize it with both hands, and make it a day filled with purpose, hope, and endless possibilities. Good morning, and may today be your best day yet!

Dinner at Paper Lobster: The Best Meal of the Week

This Youtube ‘Dinner at Paper Lobster: The Best Meal of the Week showcases the vlogger’s dining experience with her family at the lobster restaurant specializing in seafood. A big bucket of cooked specialty with garlic butter sauce is generously poured onto the table and wrapped with a large white paper for easy cleaning later on. We had two flavors; (1) butter garlic sauce and (2) cheese sauce.

There were no cutleries, as you have to eat using your hands and fingers in gloves. It is easier to pick and eat this way, like the typical locals here when dining at any Indian or banana leaf restaurant, and it reminds me of this experience. The ambiance was cozy, and the seats were soft and comfortable.

The menu has a vast repertoire of selections with four types of gravies. I chose the Bestseller with a rather comparatively giant whole Boston slipper lobster in a bucket that was poured out with other ingredients like corn, broccoli, mushrooms, calamari rings, clams, and lots of garlic to whet our appetites.

Dinner at New Dragon Gate Seafood Restaurant

new dragon gate restaurant

I just had dinner at New Dragon Gate Seafood Restaurant with my business partner and spouse, inside Red Rock Hotel, formerly known as Mandarin Hotel along Macalister Road. It is located conveniently near our condo and we were out for dinner at around 9:00pm where most of the eateries are closing.

lights of fortune

This lights of fortune with crystal ball on top caught my attention and I took the opportunity to snap it for posterity. It has the shape of Chinese money of gold nugget.

myself

That’s me seated on a carved wooden chair at the lobby of Red Rock Hotel just before dinner on the first floor.

ambience

This is the ambience with lilac coloured covered chairs with white ribbons and red lanterns suspended on the ceiling.

serviette

This is the printout or design of the restaurant serviette with address, logo, etc.

tofu

This was the first dish of black and yellow Japanese tofu, topped with fried mushrooms, spring onions and red chilies. It was quite delicious, with soft texture that is ubiquitous of tofu.

scallops with lotus root

Here the second dish was served consisting of scallops with sliced lotus root, green peas, asparagus and carrots.

cod fish with black Japanese sauce

This was the third and final serving of 2 piecces of cod fish with black Japanese sauce, garnished with honeydew melon scoops, radish flower and green salad on the side.

dishes

These are some of the appetisers like peanuts while waiting for the main dish to arrive which was tofu with chilies, pu-er tea, on an embroidered table cloth.

fruits

Here are free fruits on the house consisting of cut watermelon, honeydew and papaya.

leaflet of set meals

This green leaflet put on the table for the taking show the various set meal combinations with respective prices. Overall, the food was good with plenty of privacy – just the 2 of us were dining in an entire empty restaurant that can cater to a wedding banquet. I shall be going down south tomorrow morning to Kuala Lumpur and by Friday, will be down south further and come back to KL to attend the Mooncake Festival sponsorship dinner table of 10 that was paid for by our company in a hotel.

Hence, this blog may or may not be updated for another week as I shall be on the go all the time traveling for work.
