Hello and happy Saturday! As the weekend begins, it’s the perfect time to slow down, recharge, and enjoy the little moments that bring joy. Today, let’s start the day with a beautiful symbol of elegance and tranquility: the purple orchid.

Orchids are known for their stunning beauty and vibrant colors, and the purple orchid, in particular, represents admiration, respect, and dignity. It’s a flower that stands out, not just for its captivating color, but also for its ability to thrive in various conditions, reminding us of resilience and grace.

As you go about your Saturday, take a moment to appreciate the beauty around you. Whether you’re spending time with loved ones, tackling a personal project, or simply taking a well-deserved break, let the purple orchid inspire you to embrace the day with positivity and mindfulness. It’s a gentle reminder to live in the present, appreciate the simple things, and nurture your own growth, just like this resilient flower.

If you have a purple orchid at home or spot one in nature, let it be a source of calm and joy. Place it where you can see it often, and let its serene presence uplift your spirit throughout the day.

So, here’s wishing you a wonderful Saturday filled with peace, happiness, and moments that make you smile. May your day be as vibrant and beautiful as a purple orchid, and may it bring you the serenity and joy you deserve. Enjoy your Saturday!

Penang International Ballroom Dancing Video

The above video was taken by me years ago at a Penang International Ballroom Sports Dance Competition featuring couples from various countries like China, Singapore, Germany, the USA, the UK, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, etc. Here, it is a Waltz dance with the song from ABBA, “Money, Money, Money.” With so many competent couples, it must be difficult for the judges to select the winner. As a novice, I just enjoy the atmosphere, music, and dance with ostrich feathers, sequins, lace, and colorful ballroom gowns. Just watch the short video to the end and it is less than 2 minutes.

The dance looks simple but it takes years of practice and hard work to be able to represent your country and compete internationally. We bought a table including dinner at the front row, which was not cheap. As my spouse’s cousin was the organizing chairman, we got the tickets easily. In the meantime, enjoy the video shot by me for posterity.

This will take time and it is a handful of people or rather Youtubers who have figured it out how to leverage on their videos. Overnight success takes time, and Rome was not built in a day! I had recently bought a course on Youtube making by Matt Par and Kindle Publishing today by Tyler Cohen. These courses are not cheap but they will inspire me to work at it in my own time and freedom.

The above Youtube video means a lot to me as it was Whatsapp to me by my late dad who passed on due to a fifth heart attack on 17th December 2018. I was down at that point in time and dad, in his cheerful and healthy self then sent this beautiful “Born Free” song with colorful birds to cheer me up.

I give credit to the person who created this video for many to share and be encouraged to continue the fight of life. Now with the Wuhan Coronavirus epidemic in Hubei province, I hope the coronavirus will be contained and wiped out soon. There is propaganda that a hidden nation is behind this, but I shall not comment about this. We know the devil came to steal, kill and murder. Hence, we need to claim on Psalms 91 – which is the scripture for protection. “A thousand may fall at your side, but it shall not come near you.”
