Dinner at Foong Wei Heong Chinese Restaurant September 15, 2022 bizadmin Recently we had dinner at a popular Chinese Restaurant called Foong Wei Heong. The dishes we ordered were our usual, consisting of thick seafood soup with crab meat, pomfret cooked in two styles: 1) braised and 2) deep-fried, spinach soup with century eggs and anchovies, fried mee hoon (rice vermicelli) and spring rolls in two styles: 1) flat with prawns inside and 2) julienned turnip and carrots, etc. A picture is worth a thousand words, while a video is worth millions. From the self-produced video above, you can see my business partner and me in a blue tee, having our over-ordered meals for two persons. As we could not finish everything, we had to take away the next day’s meals, lunch, and dinner. This video was shot in Ultra 4K High Definition, which you can watch on your smart television with a broader screen and internet connectivity. The meals were simply ambrosia and sumptuous. A red tablecloth adorns the round table, and a lazy Susan is placed on top. We had Chinese tea to flush out the oil, which was free flow. The total bill came to about $173, which is relatively reasonable. However, the service was below par, and many improvements must be considered for a proper restaurant such as this. Nevertheless, we still patronize this place for its consistently high quality of food than to notice the poor service of the waitresses and waiters. Overall, I would give it a rating of 7.5 out of 10, which is pretty good. The dishes arrived quickly since the cooks were busy in the kitchen whipping meal after meal to the hungry diners.
