Gone Back to Writing June 2, 2018 bizadmin I have gone back to writing articles for students doing their assignments and also for a travel website. This is done on a part-time basis. By the way, my cute Pomeranian puppy can chase after baby cockroaches and use her nose to squash the roaches to death. She had seen me killing roaches running around using my bare hands. I have tried using tissue papers before but it just does not work. They will manage to escape and scurry away. I just slap them on the wall or floor with my palm for a higher chance of hitting the target, and then wash my hands with anti-bacterial liquid soap. My favourite laptop is now under repair as the hard disk almost crash with daily error messages and bad sectors when booting up. So I conveniently sent it to the technician downstairs to change to a new 1 Terabyte hard disk for $220 with backup another $80. He happens to own a computer peripherals factory in Butterworth. There are many businesses downstairs with several restaurants of various styles of food from hawker food to fusion, western, nonya and Chinese. A new Mamak cafe will open soon as well.
Came Back from KL April 21, 2018 bizadmin I came back from Kuala Lumpur last night and slept through early due to the long journey. It was a short trip to collect a cheque and thereafter had a short honeymoon in Mandarin Oriental Hotel where I was given a bouquet of orchids of violet, orange and white hues. We presented our voucher for a free box of 10 chocolate pralines in various designs and bursts of flavors. I also receive pink heart shaped chocolates in caramel and drizzled with red spots as eye candy. At the hotel, we also received 2 complimentary bottles of orange and apple with lemongrass flavored sparkling water. As it was Dad’s and spouse’s birthdays this month of April, I used the 50% voucher for a strawberry, blueberry and blackberry topped cheese cake at $84 after discount. The cake was lovely and heavenly to taste. Pure ambrosia! Apparently Mandarin Oriental, despite its Chinese name, serves kosher or ‘halal’ Malay cuisine. It was 51% owned by Petronas, the corporate government arm of Malaysia. Thank goodness, we arrived safely and will celebrate dad’s early birthday in a beach hotel later.
Dad May Be Discharged Soon February 20, 2018 bizadmin Being a government servant or civil employee in a school as a teacher, dad is entitled to free treatment in the General Hospital after a fall in the toilet. Days later, he had a clot in the brain and was promptly sent to the GH for treatment. Well, they did nothing to dad other than give him food and check him. No angiogram which was scheduled for the day and it was cancelled last minute due to lack of manpower. Imagine only 2 male nurses on duty for the whole ward of 40 male patients. That is why they bypass my dad and served their own kind, the Malay chap. After 5 days of no angiogram and dad was almost lifeless, refusing to eat and soaked in his urine without bath for 3 days, youngest sister suggested St John’s ambulance which we paid $150 to transfer him to a private hospital and he was immediately attended to after I paid the deposit of $6k. He went into the Accident and Emergency ward and they cleaned his wound, put on drips, etc. Such is the excellent service when you go to the private hospital with money. Frankly, dad might not have survived up to today if he had continued staying in GH, and luckily my sister made the decision to send him to a private hospital, where the bills are split by 3 of us!

Going Down South Tomorrow October 31, 2017 bizadmin Tomorrow, I shall be going down south to KL with my colleague early in the morning. We will return by Wednesday. I have already been booked for an MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) on Thursday at 9:30am at a local hospital for tendonitis and frozen shoulder. The medication and doctor’s consultation of $50 cost a total of $98.05. This is just the beginning and many more visits and thank goodness, I am covered by Prudential insurance and SOCCO. The maximum one can claim from Prudential is $3,000. MRI is about $800 in another hospital that I had gone for the same condition 3 years ago. My colleague will also visit his varsity mates who will gather there for a reunion at a local club in KL. Meanwhile, Leia, my Pomeranian puppy was sent to pet boarding yesterday while the 4 Holland Lop rabbits were sent to pet boarding during dinner time. This frees us of our time taking care of furry kids!
HyppTV Carnival @ Sunway Pyramid – Come and Join Us! July 19, 2017 bizadmin I received an email today of the happening event starting today at Sunway Pyramid of HyppTV Carnival by Telekom Malaysia. Since I am in KL now, I might just drop by sometime this week. It looks to be a fun and awesome time at the Orange Concourse of Sunway Pyramid, which is near my small condo. There is also meet and greet your local artists as shown above. Since Malaysia is a majority Malay country, it looks like the artists are all Malays to cater to the local crowd. What’s more, check below. You can also get to meet funnyman, Mr Bean or most probably his lookalike and puss in boots characters, amongst others. There is also the ‘harimau’ or tiger mascot for KL 2017 games. As for me, now is to work and update the quotation and work for as long as all night if necessary, so that tomorrow is visiting time at the above happening event.
