Condo in Damansara September 12, 2017 bizadmin I was at a client’s place in Damansara where we have a current project. For the sake of the business, I shall not reveal which Condo it was, but suffice to say it was one of the oldest and most well-kept condos in Damansara. Here, you can see the beautiful blue-tiled pool surrounded by greenery with red blooms or chili fruits which adds to the attraction of the place. Here is another view of the pool with the main building on the left side overlooking the awesome view of the swimming pool, dotted in dark blue tiles with turquoise tiles. Another eye candy for your view only. Much greenery of Palm trees and star-like fronds add to the breathtaking view of the man-made waterfalls from the pool. Another view of the awesome swimmming pool cum waterfalls with rushing water descending rapidly down the steps to create negative ions that are refreshing to the mind, body and soul.
Going to Kuala Lumpur in a Short While September 8, 2017 bizadmin This morning, I shall be travelling to Kuala Lumpur by car. As it is part of my job scope and requirements, I am happy to travel with my colleague. I may have an enviable job to work in a home office, no doubt about it, while getting the chance to moonlight part time writing articles for Trip101, Eastasy and paid comments. I also do microjobs and paid surveys that are easy peasy. The more challenging work requires thinking and curating or researching the internet for important and correct information. I also have had experience writing articles on gadgets and technology in the past. Well, all these experiences have honed my writing skills to a seamless structure and better vocabulary. I know people are trolling this blog for information and even my hosting provider is not absent! You may not comment but I know you are stalking it. But I am happy blogging, as long as you don’t try to find illegitimate ways of charging me an arm and a leg with the knowledge that I may lead a comfortable lifestyle! I certainly hate dishonesty!

Common Non-Verbal Job Interview Mistakes for Women August 9, 2017 bizadmin Above is an infographic from savvy.com on common mistakes made during job interviews for men and women in particular. The picture speaks for itself. In a survey of more than 2,000 hiring managers, 33% claim to know whether or not they would hire someone within 90 seconds. Statistics show that first impressions are determined by 55% – the way you dress, act and walk through the door. 38% – the quality of your confidence and grammar. 7% – the words you choose to say. The things that have an impact on first impressions: 70% of employers claim they don’t want applicants to be overly fashionable or trendy. 65% of hiring managers say clothes can be the deciding factor between 2 similar candidates. And don’t wear jewelery to give a hint that you are wealthy. Be prudent in your dressing. About 1/3 have a bad posture and fidget too much. 26% have a weak handshake. 26% play with their hair or touch their face. 9% use too many hand gestures. Anyway, back to the infographic, one of the common non-verbal mistakes make during job interview is failing to make eye contact and knowing little about the company. Some cross their arms over their chest and don’t smile. Hence, for newbies and fresh grads, look out for these little mistakes before it is too late.
Doing Your Best July 29, 2017 bizadmin Dr S.L.Tan has the same moniker as me, except that he has a PhD and called Victor while I am Diana Tan S.L. Credit should go to him for authoring the book, “The Secret of Change” which got into the Malaysian Book of Records as the first motivation book in poem. Below is his inspiring poem: BEING THE BEST Choose to be the best, in a field to better than the rest. Believe it to be a worthwhile conquest. Be willing to take the test, endure the stress. When you are hard-press, discipline yourself at the work desk. Do whatever it takes to achieve progress, take it all as part of a contest. In the journey to achieve success, being the best is not what you profess. The true mark is when others attest. To be the best, have a passion on a quest, which you work with zest, where every motion is a fest, every moment a great fun, no less, in the process to reach the crest, is not working without rest, or engaging others in wrest. Remember how to de-stress, laugh often and indulge in jest. At work, put on some jazz, Whistle to the beat to achieve your best.
Article Writer June 15, 2017 bizadmin I am also an article writer for 2 sites in Singapore that pays via my Paypal. The curated articles require lots of time with a minimum of 1,000 words plus free pictures from Instagram. Yesterday morning, took an Air Asia flight in KLIA2 to JB and went to 3 places before returning on the same day by Firefly to Subang Airport. I booked a Grab car and a driver was found rather quickly when I touched down. He was already waiting for us outside McDonald’s where I noticed a few police officers around in case the normal cab drivers want to bash up the Grab driver for taking a slice of the pie. Now technology rules and without using smartphones to find customers on the go and get directions to their destinations, it would be getting more difficult for conventional taxi driver to find a living. Eventually their jobs will be replaced by Uber and Grab drivers who are very efficient and don’t charge too exorbitantly. This morning, I receive a feeback from my editor requiring further editions to my article on Top 10 Best Places to Eat in Penang. It is a curated article, meaning research needs to be done online. Also noticed that there are so many Mainland China labourers in JB taking flights home to KL while working in construction sites as they spoke extra loudly and were crude. China had already stopped capital outflow from its country and I don’t know how this will affect the development in southern Johor.
Stayed at Mid Valley Cititel Hotel May 31, 2017 bizadmin I just came back from KL 2 days ago and we stayed at Mid Valley Cititel Hotel for 1 night. We were on our way back to Penang when there was a call for an interview on Monday at the last minute. Hence, we had to stay back for a total of 4 days and 3 nights in KL. I also redeemed my Manis H&M voucher for $30 at 20% discount with a minimum spend of $150. After coming back in the evening, the following day, went to Alor Setar to meet up with someone which we may not accept due to the stringent rules of completion. I also signed up for UOB credit card and got a sign up gift of Hello Kitty selfie stick, power bank, USB light, key ring and wire. The box of 5 pieces cost $70 online or rather $69 that I got for free just for signing up at Mid Valley. Always sign up with young people, they will give you the sign up gift; never with old people who might even keep the gifts for themselves and tell you there is no sign up gift! Utter balloney. I am now in the midst of updating the work and profile and it requires some time to complete. My boss had gone out on site project and won’t be back until later. Also just received a parcel of Pastor Joseph Prince’ message CDs of 4 in a set that is long overdue by the postman.
