Instagram Influencer Engagement Calculator January 17, 2018 bizadmin I just learnt from Gerald Soh about Instagram Influencer Engagement Calculator where you can view the number of followers, engagement rate, likes and comments from a sample here >> https://phlanx.com/engagement-calculator?insta=sebastiangomez. Just Google for Instagram Influencer Engagement Calculator and you will find a list. This is a very useful feature especially for Shopify owners who want to scale their business to the next level by getting these influencers to post and get some sales for them. I am also taking my time to learn bit by bit an not rush into it. There are many free videos out there that you can learn for almost next to nothing. Almost 99% of these videos are created by men.
Konversion and Turbo Theme on Shopify January 16, 2018 bizadmin I am considering of paying RM 500 to scale up my Shopify shop using paid theme like Konversion or Turbo which is double the price at $350. ZelloShop.com is very well developed, has a hundred products and makes USD 100,000 per month revenue with USD 50,000 profit. I might just follow the excellent business model shared by 2 male business partners with 2 Virtual Assistants helping them for RM 4,000 in total. My Shopify shop is already 4 months in operation but still hardly any sales. Hence, I need a mentor to guide me to scale up my business to even greater heights. As you know, most of the succcessful Shopify owners are men, very few ladies are in this business, unless they sell maternity stuffs.
So Busy Hustling October 26, 2017 bizadmin I flew back by Firefly yesterday afternoon having gone to KL early in the morning and waking up at 5:00am to catch the 6:50am flight with boarding time at 6:20am. When we came back, went to collect company’s t-shirts that are ready for payment to pass over 10 pieces to our workers in KL. Since they work in a factory, they have to wear uniforms to work and get permission to enter the premise to work. I also have to revise some of Trip101 articles which are thankfully, not many for this month. Later tonight, have to print out old quotations for amendments to existing client and then revised the BQ for submission of tender by 12:00noon on Monday. On Tuesday, it was scheduled to settle the GST payment for the months of July to September. This morning, also went for physiotherapy for about 1 hours on my right arm, costing me $75. Later on after dinner, have to buy a set of ink cartridges and paper that is running out, due to daily printing of enquiries, quotations, etc. Hence, this blog was unattended for the past few days due to work commitment. I also have dozens of trip101 articles to write and complete.
50 Productivity Tips September 19, 2017 bizadmin The inforgraphic above shows 50 Productivity Tips for your perusal. Take you time to digest them and apply in your life. Then your boss will notice that whatever you do prospers and bring in great results. You will be favoured over other colleagues. With God’s help, you should be able to be productive and be excellent at whatever endeavour you pursue. Here, I shall not summarise whatever what written in the infographic, but give my point of view. Read up productivity books and finance books to get the seed ideas which become habits and then actions which produces great results. The news is bombarded with too many negative news which happen to sell; hence we need to feed our minds with positive news and counter the negative ones. Even poisonous people that come into our lives, we need to avoid them like the plaque and enjoy our own solitude to create business ideas and take massive action. We need to have quiet time with God also and with ourselves to ponder and reflect daily on rejuvenate and charge up our ‘batteries’. With all the above said, good luck to your work, business venture, frienships, family relationships, etc.
Searching for That JOB September 16, 2017 bizadmin After graduating in 1994, I remember looking fervently for a job and I applied to dozens of companies, where a few called me up for an interview, before finally landing myself a job in a computer school. I became an IT trainer, teaching Microsoft Office applications like Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access. I also taught BASIC programming at a junior level. I recalled working 9 hours in a row, with each lesson lasting 3 hours. If we have 3 lessons in a day, we called it ‘caterpillar’ and if there is a break of 3 hours in between, we called it ‘butterfly’. I don’t know why it was named as such, but those where the days we colleagues destress by cracking jokes, usually related to the private parts. 🙂 And we laughed over it during recess time. I have had my share of filling up to 4 -6 forms of details on the spot and wait for the interview afterwards. In Singapore, there will always be x-rays done and medical checkups before you are cleared for employment. I recalled going for at least 5 x-rays for every new job that intended to hire me. Some lasted long while others were short stints. After 12 long years of ‘hardship’ of studying and working, I finally called it quits and returned to Penang, Malaysia for a slower pace of life. For most people a JOB is ‘Just Over Broke’, which I fully agree. You are paid just enough so that you won’t leave and Not more! I was living from paycheque to paycheque and was always broke at the end of the month, leaving my bank account to 2 digits and even 1 digit one time! There was no savings in any form and it was all into expenditure to pay for bills, shopping, etc. Well, now I am happy to say, I landed myself a Dream job to work in a home office doing administrative work and also maintaing the company website that I designed. By God’s grace and some luck, I got myself a moderately understanding boss who was initially my website client and now we work together on many projects. He helms the company while I do all the computer work or any work related to computers. And the workstation is just a walk to the next room, working in my pajamas.

Statistics show that first impressions are determined by 55% – the way you dress, act and walk through the door. 38% – the quality of your confidence and grammar. 7% – the words you choose to say. The things that have an impact on first impressions: 70% of employers claim they don’t want applicants to be overly fashionable or trendy. 65% of hiring managers say clothes can be the deciding factor between 2 similar candidates. Doing Your Best July 29, 2017 bizadmin Dr S.L.Tan has the same moniker as me, except that he has a PhD and called Victor while I am Diana Tan S.L. Credit should go to him for authoring the book, “The Secret of Change” which got into the Malaysian Book of Records as the first motivation book in poem. Below is his inspiring poem: BEING THE BEST Choose to be the best, in a field to better than the rest. Believe it to be a worthwhile conquest. Be willing to take the test, endure the stress. When you are hard-press, discipline yourself at the work desk. Do whatever it takes to achieve progress, take it all as part of a contest. In the journey to achieve success, being the best is not what you profess. The true mark is when others attest. To be the best, have a passion on a quest, which you work with zest, where every motion is a fest, every moment a great fun, no less, in the process to reach the crest, is not working without rest, or engaging others in wrest. Remember how to de-stress, laugh often and indulge in jest. At work, put on some jazz, Whistle to the beat to achieve your best.
