How Interior Design Skills Can Spruce up a Home

For the uninitiated and from Wikipedia, Interior design is defined as the art and science of enhancing the interior of a building to achieve a healthier and more aesthetically pleasing environment for the people using the space. An interior designer is someone who plans, researches, coordinates, and manages such enhancement projects.

From Merriam-Webster, it is the art or practice of planning and supervising the design and execution of architectural interiors and their furnishings.

Do check out the video above that was carefully curated and compiled with awesome photos of an interior furnishings of a show unit in Penang. It was just a sample to whet your appetite in investing for a home there by looking at the beautifully designed interiors of a show unit from a developer of a condominium unit, near Queensbay mall, Penang.

They are top-class furnishings, making the place look cozy with all the colorful embellishments and home furnishings, that complement each other.

Above was taken from my Instagram account of the photo shots that were snapped for yours truly in Gurney Plaza during Christmas season. Hence, the presence of a large Christmas tree as a backdrop in the atrium of the premier mall. Just click on the icon on the right side of the photo to scroll to the left for more photos.

As Today is a Sunday, wishing you a good rest day and stay safe and always wear your mask in this pandemic that has spiked drastically. I also pray for America for a smooth transition of power to the next president Joe Biden.

[Video] The 11 Things that You Should Not Share with Anyone and Keep to Yourself

1-Your problems

Some of us are tempted to release our stress and share our problems with others. Instead of carrying the hurt or abuse, it is better to tell it to to Jesus or your God, so that people will never add salt to the wound in future. Your own problems will never be echoed back to you in future because no one knows about it.

2-The Favors you did

This originates from the Bible, Matthew 6:3 (King James Version): But when thou does alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand does. That meaning alluded to the wisdom of not giving oneself credit for providing charity to others – just give and forget about it.

3-Secrets of others

Never be boastful and try to have the upper hand by telling the secrets of others, when they are shared in private. This is not publicity stunt and inform the world of other people’s problems, to make yourself seem superior. That is why God gave us one mouth and two ears to listen. Provide a listening ear, but never share other people’s problems, so that your own problems will also be kept a secret.

4-Inner conflict in family

The teeth and the tongue will grind into each other in close proximity. Hence, inner conflict in family is common and within family members. Never share with anyone your conflict with your family and just keep to yourself by meditating on it. The whole world does not have to know your issues with loved ones.

5-Your weakness

When you go for an interview, never reveal your weakness, such as laziness, et cetera. You want to project the strength and sell yourself. Likewise, you are selling yourself to your spouse, your friends, and others for that longer lasting friendship and to earn their respect. Instead of being looked down upon as weak, you will project strength and reliability to the ones closest to you. After all, respect has to be earned.

6-Your upcoming goals

Another pertinent point is that, never reveal your upcoming goals; lest they will not happen. People tend to sabotage your plans or dissuade you from achieving them, even for well-meaning loved ones. For many obnoxious people, the way they win is to make sure you fail. That’s how they promote themselves at your expense. It is never a teamwork, but rather who climbs the corporate ladder the fastest, wins. In this world, it is, to each himself or herself. They are only looking for their best interests, not yours.

7-Your faith and belief

Keep your faith to yourself and if possible, avoid talking about religion, which is a very sensitive and private matter. Respect other people’s wishes if they are staunched to their religion.

8-Private moment with loved ones

Your private moments with loves ones should not be revealed to anybody. That’s why it is called private. Some people are very nosy and have a tendency to tease you into revealing your private moments with your lover or spouse. Keep it strictly a secret. Don’t kiss and tell.

9-Your precious belongings

Your valuables should be kept a secret together with your precious belongings. No one should know what you own. This is to prevent future theft and your precious belongings from being taken away from you. Don’t give an opportunity to potential thieves.

10-Your past relationship

You don’t want your present relationship to be affected by the past relationship. Otherwise, your partner will think that you still cannot let go of the previous relationship. Don’t keep harping on it. Let bygones be bygones. It is history. Period!

11-Your financial status

Never reveal your financial status to anyone. That is why your will should be kept a secret, and should only be opened upon your demise. I have seen my own greedy relatives who cannot work, steal and cheat a rich relative of her finances and expensive belongings, since she is single and is suffering from dementia in her advance years.

Faith Under Fire: New Faith-Based Film Starring Nick Vlassopoulos, Kevin Sorbo and Dean Cain Offers Hope to Those Who’ve Suffered Loss

Collide Distribution, Iconic Events and Universal Pictures Content Group released the trailer premiere of the upcoming film “Faith Under Fire” exclusively to The Christian Post on Monday. Actor Kevin Sorbo says the inspiring movie has a timely message.

Set to release in select theaters on Dec. 1, “Faith Under Fire” features several popular actors, including Sorbo (“Hercules,” “God’s Not Dead”), Dean Cain (“Lois & Clark”), and Nick Vlassopoulos (“Detroit”). The faith-based film is set to showcase the journey of grief, forgiveness and finding the courage to rise above.

The Joel Paul Reisig-directed film shares the story of fireman Tom Hatcher (Vlassopoulos), “who is at the end of his rope. He saves lives in his job but could not save his wife from cancer, and now his daughter faces the same battle. From an unlikely friend, Tom is challenged to face grief and embrace faith in his darkest hours,” the film synopsis reads.

“With so many people facing unthinkable challenges, we need more stories of hope on the big screen,” Sorbo told The Christian Post. “‘Faith Under Fire’ shows that, even in tragedy, God is with us. That’s a powerful message we all need, now more than ever.”

President of Collide Distribution Bob Elder echoed Sorbo’s sentiment and believes the film could not be premiering at a better time.

Faith Under Fire - Dean

Synopsis

After an exhausting night saving a young girl from a raging house fire, Fireman Tom Hatcher is at the end of his rope. He couldn’t save his wife from cancer – and worse yet – his 6-year-old daughter, Tiffany, is now facing the same possible fate. When he finds himself in a cold jail cell after attacking a pastor out of frustration with a seemingly absent God, Tom begins to reflect on his downward spiral into despair. But with the help and persistent friendship of the very man he assaulted, Tom is challenged to face his grief and embrace faith in the darkest hours of his life.

Faith under fire - Dean

Review

This movie offers a wonderful truth: faith will take you through the fire! Tom Hatcher is a fireman who has fought his share of fires. But none compares to the fires in his personal life that he will have to navigate. He loses his wife, Sara, to cancer, and then shortly afterwards learns that his daughter, Tiffany, has cancer too.

In an unforgettable scene, Tom enters the door of a church as Pastor Dan Underwood (strongly portrayed by Dean Cain) is greeting his congregation with an “It’s good to be in the house of the Lord!” Pastor Dan reveals he is beginning a series, and he opens up in Ecclesiastes 3:18. The series will be titled “There is a Season” and he plans to speak about the various topics in this chapter, including the passage that there is a time to be born and a time to die. From the back of the church a hurting Tom challenges the pastor. “Where are these miracles?” he demands. “When will God come down and do these miracles? Where’s the Almighty to help the people? Where is the King?” Pastor Dan steps down from the platform and goes to the man. “He knows our pain and is acquainted with our grief,” he says. When the pastor begins to speak of faith Tom belts him and knocks him down!

Fortunately, the story doesn’t end there. One of the pastor’s statements becomes a theme of the film: “Doubt is the yeast that spoils the whole loaf.” He and Tom meet again as Tom apologizes and Pastor Dan does his utmost to help Tom travel the path of pain and disappointment. As the pastor points out, God puts people in our lives that love us and help us along the way and our faith in God’s love is essential to maintain peace of mind.

One of the persons that God places in Tom’s life is a nurse, named Melissa, and Tom’s own daughter Tiffany believes that her mother would even be pleased if Tom were to marry her. Melissa is a warm person, compassionate, and patient. She knows Tom has been through a lot with the loss of his wife and the serious illness of his daughter. However, when Tom misses a dinner date with her and winds up instead at the bar, it soon becomes questionable whether he will get another chance.

Faith under Fire Family

Tiffany’s health goes up and down, with good days when she is even able to return home from the hospital, to the not-so-good days when she winds up back at the hospital. When Tom attends church with Tiffany, the ushers are not aware that Tom and Pastor Dan made peace, and they ask him to leave. It will take a lot of perseverance and convincing for Pastor Dan to get Tom to return to the church. Another person who is placed in Dan’s life is Tiffany’s doctor, Dr. Robinson, a Christian who is not ashamed to tell Tom he is praying for Tiffany. Kevin Sorbo gives a powerful performance as the doctor, especially when he has to sit Tom down to give him some difficult news.

The movie does a good job in laying out the painful moments of life, but also in offering hope through faith in God and the help of caring people. The actress billed simply as Tenley is terrific as Tiffany, giving a layered performance as a young, compassionate girl who is also wise beyond her years. Likewise, Nick Vlassopoulos gives a solid performance as Tom Hatcher. Although there are some depressing moments in the film, such as when we find out about Pastor Dan’s pain from the past, there are several shining moments when hope is offered for the warriors of God to march forward.

We are awarding this dramatic, faith-based film our Dove-approved seal for Ages 12+, while noting some children a bit younger may be mature enough to watch as well. Parents should consult our content listing and make their own informed decisions.

Joint Heirs With Christ Jesus

Joint Heirs With Christ Jesus

The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ…
Romans 8:16–17

JOINT HEIRS WITH CHRIST JESUS

As long as you are born again, you are no longer a “slave,” but a son of the Most High God. And God does not just call you His son. He also calls you “an heir” through Christ (see Galatians 4:7). In fact, Romans 8:17 says that you are “joint heirs” with Christ.

As a joint heir with Christ Jesus, you inherit everything that He is. How precious Jesus is to the Father, is how precious you are to the Father. The way the Father loves Jesus, is the way the Father loves you!

How accepted are you by God today? Look at Jesus. That is how accepted you are! Christ is the measure of your acceptance. How favored are you by God? Look at Jesus, who is seated at the Father’s right hand. You enjoy that same favor today because whatever Christ enjoys, you enjoy!

As a joint heir with Christ Jesus, you also inherit all that He has obtained from the Father. How much Jesus has, is how much you have. How prosperous is the one who made all things, and who put the gold, silver and diamonds in the earth? So are you in this world (see 1 John 4:17)!

I used to read the Bible to find out how to be a successful and victorious Christian. But now, I read it to find out more about Jesus because I know that when I find Him, I find my every blessing in Him (see Ephesians 1:3, 2 Peter 1:3).

My friend, all that Jesus is in heaven today, you are in this world. All that belongs to Him belongs to you. That is why it is in your interest to know Him more, to see Him in all His glory and beauty. And because Jesus is so glorious, it will take you a lifetime to discover everything that He has done for you and has for you.

Beloved, you are an heir of the Most High God. You are a joint heir with Christ Jesus. So find out all the blessings that your rich inheritance includes and start walking in them today!
