All That I Have is Yours October 19, 2018 bizadmin …‘Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours. Luke 15:31 ‘ALL THAT I HAVE IS YOURS’ After running a few errands for his parents, a little boy went to his father and said, “I know why you and mummy had me.” “Why?” asked his father. “So that you guys would have someone to run errands for you!” exclaimed the boy. Like the little boy, do you see God as a Father who demands obedience and service from you? Have you ever felt that unless you obey Him and keep all His commandments, you don’t have a right to be blessed by Him? Jesus shared the story of the prodigal son to show how some of us call God “Father” and yet don’t know His heart. There are two sons in this parable. We know what happened to the prodigal son, but we can also learn something about the older son. This is what he said to his father when he discovered that his father had thrown a party to celebrate the return of his irresponsible, spendthrift brother: “Lo, these many years I have been serving you; I never transgressed your commandment at any time; and yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might make merry with my friends” (Luke 15:29). Now, this son believed that his father had brought him into the world to serve him. He saw his father as someone issuing commandments to him all the time. And he saw himself as someone who had to obey those commandments to enjoy his inheritance. But the truth is that the father had already given him his inheritance (see Luke 15:12). The father even reminded him lovingly: “Son…all that I have is yours.” And I am sure that that inheritance included more than one goat! Have you, like the older son, failed to understand your Father’s heart? Your heavenly Father already gave you a rich inheritance in Christ when you became His son. He wants you to know that you have received the Spirit of sonship (see Romans 8:15). So call out to Him, “Abba, Father!” and know how much He loves you. Because you are His heir, all that He has is yours to enjoy today! – Joseph Prince

The 5 Easiest Ways to Get Better Grades October 13, 2018 bizadmin What are the easiest ways for adult students to get excellent grades? Could you be spending a lot of time trying to find the latest silver bullet to boost your grades while there is a straightforward concept that already exists? Here are five simple tips that adult students can use to perform well in school. 1. Never skip breakfast Usually described as the most crucial meal of the day, eating breakfast has positive effects such as enhanced memory and attention. Therefore, regardless of how busy your day is, make sure you take breakfast so that you remain rejuvenated throughout the day. 2. Believe you can learn the material Does believing you can understand the material result in better grades? Research has shown that students who have a positive outlook towards the course are likely to perform better than those who don’t believe. With everything that’s going on, you are likely to feel overwhelmed and discouraged. The best way of handling this is to leave all your family and work worries out of the classroom. 3. Do not use your phone while in class When you use your phone in the classroom, you might have divided attention. This might make it difficult for you to concentrate in the classroom. Also, you might receive a call that something is not right either at home or at work. Such a message will keep you distracted. 4. Use out of school time productively As an adult student, you may not have much of this. However little time you have to spare when you aren’t working or caring for your family, use it well. Remember that personal study is a major ingredient of getting good grades. 5. Have a sense of purpose Students who remind themselves why they are in school are likely to do better than those who don’t have a purpose. From the onset, set goals and plan on how to attain them. Working towards your goals will make studying interesting. – Julie
Jesus is your Qualification for God’s Blessings October 12, 2018 bizadmin And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you… Deuteronomy 28:2 JESUS IS YOUR QUALIFICATION FOR GOD’S BLESSINGS God loves to bless you. He has even declared that “blessings shall come upon you and overtake you.” This means that you can’t run fast enough to escape them! When you turn one corner, there is a blessing waiting for you. When you turn another corner, you run smack into another blessing! Now, you may think that you don’t qualify for God’s blessings because of the preceding verse which says that these blessings will come to pass only if you diligently obey God’s voice and keep all of His commandments. You know that no matter how hard you try, you just cannot keep all of God’s commandments. In fact, the Bible says that if you fail to keep just one commandment, you fail to keep all (see James 2:10). My friend, I have good news for you: Jesus is the one who qualifies us for every single blessing because He has kept all of God’s commandments. When He died for us on the cross, He not only fulfilled all of God’s commandments, He also redeemed us from the curse of the law (see Galatians 3:13). Note that He did not redeem us from the blessings of the law, so the blessings are still ours today! As you read the list of blessings in Deuteronomy 28, starting with “Blessed shall you be in the city…in the country…the fruit of your body…your basket…when you come in…when you go out…” (Deuteronomy 28:3–13), I believe that Jesus is saying to you, “Like the blessings? Then take them by faith!” You may say, “But I don’t deserve them.” Yes, you don’t deserve them, but you still get them because of Jesus. That is God’s grace! The law says, “You must deserve the blessings.” But the law is no longer here. Grace is here. So take the blessings by grace through faith. Believe God for the blessings. Today, it is no longer a question of how much or how well you have kept God’s commandments. It is a question of how much you can believe God for His blessings. All the promises of God in Christ are “Yes,” and because you are in Christ, you can say “Amen!” to His blessings (see 2 Corinthians 1:20)! – Joseph Prince
Proclaim the Lord’s Death October 9, 2018 bizadmin For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes. 1 Corinthians 11:26 PROCLAIM THE LORD’S DEATH In the Old Testament, whenever the children of Israel sacrificed a lamb for a burnt offering as they faced a strong enemy, victory was theirs. For example, in 1 Samuel 7:7–11, when the Philistines were coming against them, the prophet Samuel offered a lamb as a burnt offering. As it was being offered, the Lord came like a loud thunder on the Philistine army, confusing them. This led to victory for the Israelites. Every time something bad happened to the children of Israel, by offering a lamb sacrifice, they were proclaiming the Lord’s death, and the battle would turn in their favor. Today, when we are faced with an enemy, how do we offer our “burnt offering”? How do we proclaim the Lord’s death and come out victorious? Do we ask Jesus to come down to where we are at and die on the cross all over again? Of course not. Jesus died once for all our sins—past, present and future (see Hebrews 10:12). His work is perfectly perfect and completely complete, so He doesn’t have to die for us again. Today, we proclaim His death simply by partaking of the Lord’s Supper. Every time you partake of the bread and wine, you declare to the principalities and powers of darkness that the Lord’s death avails for you. Every time you partake, you are saying that because Jesus has been judged and punished in your place, you cannot be judged and punished. Because Jesus died young in your place, you will live long. And because He conquered death and stripped the devil of his powers, you will not be defeated. The victory is already yours! That is why the psalmist David said, “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies…” (Psalm 23:5). The Lord’s table is prepared for you in the presence of your enemies because when you partake of the bread and wine, you will see your enemies tremble and scatter! Why? Because when you proclaim the Lord’s death through the Holy Communion, you are reminding the devil and his cohorts of their humiliating defeat at Calvary’s cross (see Colossians 2:15)! – Joseph Prince
Take, Take and Take More October 7, 2018 bizadmin Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. 1 Corinthians 2:12 TAKE, TAKE AND TAKE MORE! As a child of the Most High God, God wants you to know the things that have been freely given to you. He wants you to receive them freely although it cost Him His Son. He paid the price, but He wants you to receive the blessings freely. That is His love toward you. Perhaps you are asking God, “How is it that I don’t have this blessing? And why do I have so little of that?” I believe that He is saying this to you: “What do you lack, My child? Health? Take it! It has been paid for with the life of My Son. “Do you need peace of mind? My Son wore the crown of thorns on His head to give it to you. Take it! “Lack wisdom? Take My wisdom! “Need victory? Victory is not something you attain. It is a gift to be received. Take it! “Take My provision! Take My favor! Every time you come into My Presence, take, and take some more!” God, your heavenly Father, wants you to receive like the prodigal son, who deserved nothing, but received everything (see Luke 15:11–24). God delights in giving freely. And He delights in you receiving freely because it shows that you value and appreciate His Son’s sacrifice. You miss it when you are busy trying to earn what has been freely given to you, when you think that you must do more for God to bless you, or that you must pay the price for it. God cannot give it to you based on your works because if it is by works, it is no longer by grace. When you try to work for it, you frustrate the grace of God and make light of Jesus’ work at Calvary. My friend, the days of trying, striving and earning are over. The days of take, take and take more have come. Take and you will bring pleasure to God’s heart! – Pastor Joseph Prince
8 Things that are a Waste of Time October 6, 2018 bizadmin View this post on Instagram A post shared by Investing | Business (@youngmoneysecrets) One of the biggest time waster is watching tv. Rich people have a big library while poor people have a big tv. Also, the lack of priorities makes one unable to achieve any goals in life and just drift along with the flow. Another factor is doing something just because it makes others happy while you are unhappy. This applies mainly to many areas of our lives, namely the choice of course or career that our parents choose for us. Sometimes, it makes more friends by allowing the other side to win and not trying to win every conversation. Obnoxious people are like this and they have to win every argument. Pride comes before a fall! Constantly complaining will not help, instead, it makes you look weak and helpless, if not childlike. Tell it to the Lord and share your problems with God Almighty who may find the right people for the right solution for you. Don’t wait for inspiration. Instead, create it. Don’t wait for a job. Create it. Be your own boss. A big mistake is trying to please everybody. You have to be selective and choose who to be nice to. Finally, don’t worry about what other people will say. They are not important. Be thick skin and guard your heart, for it is the well spring of life!
Have Faith in Yourself – Richard Branson October 3, 2018 bizadmin Like the Nike Tagline, “Just Do It!” Believe it can be done. Have goals and prepare well. Also help each other out. The stronger should help the weaker and likewise the smarter should help the slower ones. It is a life of give and take. You cannot hoard knowledge to yourself without sharing to others and help them up. That is why schools and colleges have professors and supervisors to guide the students to greater heights of success and knowledge. Have Fun Have fun while working hard and money will come to you. Don’t waste time and procrastinate. Grab every opportunity that comes your way. Also, have a positive outlook on life. And if it becomes a drudgery, move on. Don’t dwell on something that you are struggling with and instead, work on your strengths. For instance, if programming is something that is hard to master, then dwell on writing articles and blogging which may be easier to make money online. Be Bold Calculate the risks and take them. More importantly, believe in yourself. Just like the scriptures, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” – Philippians 4:13. Chase your dreams and goals. Have no regrets of past failures, neither worry about the future. Just live in the present and do your utmost best. Be bold and keep your word and promises. Nobody wants to deal with dishonest persons. Challenge Yourself Aim high and try new things. Always try and challenge yourself. Be the best that you can be and don’t compare with others. There are others who are better off while there are others who are worse off than you. Stand on Your Own Feet Rely on yourself and God to help you out. Don’t be too dependent on others, for they may disappoint you or give bad advice. Chase your dreams, but live in the real world. And work together. Two heads are better than one. Live the Moment Enjoy life and live it to the full. Enjoy the moment while reflecting on your life. Make every second count and don’t have regrets. Also, don’t sleep too much for those who refuse to life a finger, may come to poverty. Make hay while the sun shines and in your best years, work hard before your retirement in your golden years. Value Family and Friends Life is about relationships. No one is a island. Hence we need to value family and friends while they are still here. Be loyal. Face problems head on. Money is for making things happen. Pick the right people in your inner circle and reward talent. Have Respect Be polite and respectful. Do the right thing. Keep your good name and be fair in all your dealings. Hence the above expound on the info graphic of having faith in yourself by Richard Branson, the founder of Virgin airlines.
